Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut shares a hot-and-cold relationship with Deepika Padukone. Over the years, the actresses have not only taken indirect digs at each other but have also appreciated each other’s projects and achievement. Having been vocal about her dislike towards Bollywood and the ‘nepotism gang’ like she calls it was once roasted by Deepika during an interview.

In the video that has resurfaced the internet, in an interaction with Rajeev Masand alongside actresses Vidya Balan and Nimrit Kaur, Kangana was seen explaining how women’s sense of humour in India is not given any importance. She goes on to explain, “So many times I crack a joke and people don’t even react.” Going with the flow, Deepika goes on to quip, “Maybe you just ain’t funny.” Everyone present during the interaction bursts out laughing. Kangana had recently made the headlines when she had heaped praises on Deepika for exuding confidence and reputation as a presenter at the Oscar 2023 ceremony. She had written, “How beautiful @deepikapadukone looks, not easy to stand there holding entire nation together, carrying its image, reputation on those delicate shoulders and speaking so graciously and confidently. On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. She has movies like The Intern’s remake, Project K and Fighter in her pipeline. Kangana Ranaut will be seen in The Emergency, her first solo directorial project. She will be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then PM. She also has RSVP Movies’ Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in the pipeline.
