Twinkle Khanna Posts An Emotional Message For Father Rajesh Khanna On His 74TH Birthday
Twinkle posted a sweet message for her daddy dear Rajesh Khanna on his 74th and her 43rd birthday. The father-daughter duo share their birthday
Twinkle Khanna, who is currently vacationing with Akshay Kumar in Cape Town, turns 43 today. Interestingly, Twinkle shares her birthday with her father, late Rajesh Khanna. Well yes, it’s his 74th birthday today. On this special occasion, Twinkle Khanna has posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram account.
Twinkle Khanna was very close to her father. In fact, few months back when Naseeruddin Shah blamed the late superstar Rajesh Khanna for bringing in mediocrity into Bollywood, it was no one else but his elder daughter Twinkle who took to Twitter to blast the veteran actor. It was only after Twinkle’s tweet that the matter heated up and the industry started talking about it (Twinkle Khanna blasts Naseeruddin Shah for talking ill about Rajesh Khanna, Jul 24).
Later, filmmaker Salim Khan and Karan Johar too stood by Twinkle Khanna (Salim Khan indirectly calls Naseeruddin Shah ‘frustrated’ & ‘bitter’, Jul 27). However, after few days Nasseruddin Shah apologised for his statement.
Twinkle said, "Sir if u can't respect the living, respect the dead-mediocrity is attacking a man who can't respond @NaseerudinShah. All due regard to Mr Shah's reality, mine=a man who loved cinema & did films like Anand, Amar Prem, Kati Patang thank u folks for all the love."

Rajesh Khanna was Indian Film Industry’s first superstar. He ruled the industry for decades. On April 30, 2013 he was officially bestowed with the title The First Superstar of Indian Cinema at Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards. He has also been awarded India's third highest civilian honour- Padma Bhushan in 2013 which was collected by his wife Dimple Kapadia.
Following a critical illness, Rajesh Khanna passed away on 18 July 2012.
