Pooja Bedi and her husband Maneck Contractor are currently stationed in Goa, and the actress recently posted a video in which she was seen enjoying a motorboat ride with her hubby. She has been enjoying the beaches in Goa, and often shares videos of the same. In her latest video, Pooja wrote that life is meant to be lived, and not meant to be spent caged and masked in fear of Coronavirus. Soon after, she faced flak by many who accused her of flaunting her privilege.

Pooja’s caption read, “Joys of living in healthy, happy #goa . Free your mind #NoFear Life is meant to be lived..not spent caged and masked for a year/ years in fear of a virus that's clearly not going away! If you died tomorrow after year of masking/lockdown.. what would ur greatest regret be?” She faced criticism for her post, and one Netizen wrote, “it’s only ur state of mind (rational or F*CKING DENSE) that makes u either stay the f*ck indoors or show off ur shameless privileged self on the internet while people are dying in THOUSANDS every hour.” Pooja replied, “I'm as much at "risk" as everyone else. However.. I believe that fear cripples immunity. It's exercise. Sunshine. Positivity. That keeps ur immunity high. I may be on A boat, a paddle board, or walking on beaches. Everyone can walk on beautiful beaches, I choose to do so!!!”

Another social media user was furious and wrote that ‘if’ Pooja tests positive for COVID-19, then she shouldn’t use her privilege to get a hospital bed, and instead avail of the facilities that are accessible to everyone. Pooja wrote, “If i got covid.. I would do steam inhalation.. gargle with salt water.. rest... eat herbs & drink lots of kaada. Think positive thoughts & be happy that while I didn't have covid I LIVED. & if I die of covid, well I'm happy I LIVED FREELY & was not stuck in a cage for a year.”




Another Twitter user pointed out that its her privilege that she can enjoy in Goa like this and not worry about finances. Pooja replied that for her it isn’t a vacation, as she lives here. “Who says I don't worry about finance? My businesses are badly hit. But I choose to ENJOY my hours/ months/ years on this planet. I CHOOSE to not live in fear I CHOOSE to live life to its fullest while I am alive,” she tweeted. Check out some more tweets below:
