Sonu Sood turns saviour as he helps Indian students get back home safely from war-hit Ukraine
Sonu Sood has been winning hearts with his kind acts for a long time now. The actor has been praised immensely for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been doing all he can to help people in need. Now, once again, Sonu turned saviour for Indian students stranded in Ukraine.
Several students shared videos of getting help from the actor's charity organisation. In a video shared by ETimes, one student named Harsh thanked Sonu and his team for helping him and others during this difficult time.
He said, "We were stuck in Kyiv and it was Sonu Sood sir and his team who helped us to get out. With their help, we are heading to Lviv which is a safer place and from there we will reach India." Another student named Charu shared, "I am leaving Kyiv. Sonu Sood sir helped us at the right time. In sometime we will reach Lviv and from there we will cross the Poland border by tonight. Thank you so much, they are giving us hope."
According to Sonu, who explained the evacuation procedure to Hindustan Times, local taxis were dispatched to the students' location, and from there they were transported to Kharkiv's railway station. "From there, they travel to a safer location in Lviv city by train, where buses have already been arranged to ferry them to the Polish border. We are also praying for students' air travel if they cannot afford it. Dozens of them have already reached their home in India," added Sonu.
Sonu has helped many people during the COVID-19 pandemic. From providing medicines to oxygen cylinders, Sonu has turned saviour and proved that he has a heart of gold.
