Urmila Matondkar Gives A Twist To An Old Colloquial Song As Petrol Price Shoots Up, 'Akkad Bakkad Bambey Bo, Diesel Nabbe, Petrol Sau'
Petrol price in the country has always been a matter of concern. Knowing that it is one of the most important resources, the rising price is only making every layman’s pocket. As the price of petrol zoomed past Rs. 100 per litre in some parts of the country, actor turned politician and Shiv Sena leader Urmila Matondkar reacted to it by altering an old school poem song. She took to her Twitter handle and shared a tweet, penning her own version of an old colloquial song, ‘Akkad Bakkad Bambey Bo’ around the petrol price.

Taking a sly dig at the government, her tweet read, “अक्कड़ बक्कड़ बंबे बो डीजल नब्बे पेट्रोल सौ  सौ मे लगा धागा सिलेंडर ऊछल के भागा” (Akkad Bakkad Bambey Bo, Diesel nabbe petrol sau, sau se laga dhaaga, cylinder uchalke bhaaga) After she shared the tweet, some fans slammed her while found it hilarious. Among many, a netizen user commented, “Now that you are a part of ruling party please ask your Govt to reduce state taxes by Rs.20 so price will come down.” While another shared a very informative tweet which said, “Maharashtra govt takes highest tax among all @the states ... 38 rs is state tax in Maharashtra. 38 rs MVA leke bhaga”

Meanwhile, according to the reports in India Today, the prices of petrol have risen in quite a few states. In Madhya Pradesh, petrol is priced at Rs 100.25 per litre while diesel at Rs 90.35. In the national capital, one-litre petrol costs Rs 89.88. Talking about Mumbai, petrol price rose to Rs 96.32 a litre and diesel was priced at Rs 87.32.
