Amidst Assembly Polls 2022 in 5 states, Uttrakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar and has roped him as a brand ambassador of Uttrakhand. Ahead of elections, where every party is aiming for their victory, Uttrakhand CM gave Akshay Kumar the responsibility of a star campaigner in the Himalayan State for the upcoming elections. Reportedly, Akshay, who is currently shooting for his upcoming Hindi remake of a Tamil film Ratsasan in the hills, met Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami at his residence in Dehradun.

According to ANI, Uttrakhand CM met Akshay and approached the actor with a proposal which he has accepted. Pushkar Dhami while speaking to the news agency, said, “We had given him a proposal, he has accepted it. He will also work as a brand ambassador of Uttrakhand.”



Moving back to Akshay's forthcoming film, the actor has been sharing various pictures and videos from the hills. The Hindi prequel of the Ratsasan, directed by Tamil director Ram Kumar revolves around a story of a psycho barbarous serial killer who kills young girls. Currently, the Rowdy Rathore actor is shooting for the untitled film in Mussoorie, with actress Rakul Preet. Apart from this, Akshay also has Bachchan Pandey with Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, period drama Prithviraj and Abhishek Sharma’s upcoming directorial Ram Setu in his kitty.

The 54-year-old actor was last seen in Atrangi Re with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.
