Uttarakhand Glacier Bursts: Akshay Kumar Sends Prayers, Shahid Kapoor Remembers The 'Beautiful State', Says He Has Shot There Several Times
Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and other Bollywood celebrities took to their respective social media handles to send prayers to those affected due to the havoc caused by the flash flood in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district
In an unfortunate turn of events, the people of Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district were affected by flash flood that was triggered due to a glacier break on Sunday morning. Bollywood celebrities Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan and Neetu Kapoor took to their Instagram stories to send prayers for the safety and well being of the ones affected by the tragedy. Now, Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and other celebrities from the Hindi film industry took to their respective social media handles to send prayers to those affected due to the tragedy.
On Twitter, Akshay Kumar made a tweet praying for the safety of many. The actor tweeted, “Terrifying visuals of the glacier burst in #Uttarakhand, thoughts and prayers for everyone’s safety.” He mentioned that the visuals surfacing on the internet, from the glacier burst in Uttarakhand are terrifying. Akshay sent his thoughts and prayers to everyone. While Akshay made a tweet, taking to his Instagram stories, Shahid Kapoor wrote, “Prayers for all those effected in Uttarakhand. A beautiful state with wonderful people. Have shot there many a times.” In his post, Shahid sent prayers and spoke about the state and its people. He mentioned how he has been to Uttarakhand on work purposes.

Apart from Akshay and Shahid, Sonu Sood, and Bhumi Pednekar also made posts. Sood prayed for the safety of the people and tweeted in Hindi, “Uttarakhand we are with you.” Bhumi Pednekar shared a note on her Instagram stories that read, “My condolences to the families of those affected by the Uttarakhand flash floods and glacier melt. I hope all those In high alert regions are taking all precautions.” The actress also shared some helpline numbers in her post.

Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat informed that around 203 people are missing. The CM mentioned that 11 are dead.
