David Dhawan’s close friend, actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik opens up about why he is not attending Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal’s wedding in Alibaug
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal are all set to tie the knot today, and fans are eagerly waiting for the pictures from their wedding ceremony. A few celebrities such as Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and others have arrived at the wedding venue in Alibaug. David Dhawan’s close friend, actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik opens up about why he is not attending Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal’s wedding.
While speaking to Koimoi, Satish Kaushik said that owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, there are restrictions on the number of guests at the wedding. Which is why, he said that while David and he are great friends, he will not be attending the wedding. However, he did send his blessings to the couple. “Everyone knows what COVID-19 has done to us and to the whole society. So you know family ka jab ek function hota hai it is very limited people. So definitely even though David and me are good friends but we will not be attending the wedding. I wish Varun a happy married life with Natasha. They are beautiful and very nice kids. So my wishes are there, but yes we will not be attending because of COVID, because we have to have a limited number of people and that is close family members,” said Satish Kaushik.
It was also being reported that a reception would be held on 26th January, however, Satish Kaushik isn’t aware of it. “Mujhe pata nahi, main 26th ko hu hi nahi. 26th ko I am going for a shoot, and I have no idea about that. I have no news about that rather,” he said.
Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal have known each other since their school days. In a conversation with Kareena Kapoor on What Women Want, Varun had revealed that Natasha had rejected his love proposal a few times before she finally said yes.
