As 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’ completes 8 years of its release, Varun Dhawan shares throwback photos with Sidharth Shukla with a heartfelt note

Sidharth Shukla, who was widely known for his stint in the shows like 'Balika Vadhu', ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ and ‘Bigg Boss 13’, made his Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan's 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer saw Sidharth in a supporting role. As the film completes eight years of its release on 11th July, Varun remembered the late actor calling him ‘kind-hearted’ and 'protective.' The actor posted his unseen happy pictures with Sidharth alongside a heartfelt note.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Varun dropped two throwback photos. The first click showed him, Alia, and Sidharth smiling as they posed for a selfie. In another picture, Varun and Sidharth Shukla flaunted their radiant smile as they sat at a table. Sharing these old memories, the Student of the Year actor wrote, “8 years of #humptysharmakidhulania a very special film but today I remember it for the time I got to spend with sid on the film. He was kind hearted, protective and always passionate about work and friends.” Varun also posted a picture on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “8 years of Humpty Sharma ki dhulani some great memories with amazing people.” Notably, Alia Bhatt reposted the picture on her gram stories with several red heart emojis.




Director Shashank Khaitan also took a trip down memory lane and penned a lengthy note while recalling the old shooting days. Last year in September, Sidharth died of a heart attack at the age of 40. He is survived by his mother and two sisters.
