The National Award-winning actor Ashish Vidyarthi has tied the knot for a second time at the age of 60. He got married to fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua in Kolkata. The couple reportedly had an intimate court marriage in a Kolkata club and their pictures from the ceremony have surfaced online. In the viral photos, Ashish could be seen dressed as a groom in cream-coloured Sherwani with a flower garland around his neck. The actor’s wedding photos have left everyone surprised.   

In the clicks, Rupali was seen wearing a white and golden Mekhela Chador from Assam and styled her look with some golden jewellery inspired by South Indian temple art. Reportedly, their wedding was an intimate affair with just close family and friends in attendance. Talking about marrying Rupali, the Ziddi actor told Times Of India he is feeling ‘extraordinary.’ The actor was quoted saying, “At this stage of my life, getting married to Rupali is an extraordinary feeling. We had a court marriage in the morning, followed by a get-together in the evening.”



Ashish was earlier married to Rajoshi Barua and they have a son Arth. After their separation, the actor found love in Rupali and married her after dating for several years. Rupali, who hails from Guwahati, owns a fashion store in Kolkata. When asked about how the two met, Ashish had told the newspaper, “Oh, that's a long story. Will share it some other time.” Rupali added, “We met some time ago and decided to take it forward. But both of us wanted our wedding to be a small family affair.”

She also spoke about what drew her to Ashish who has mainly done complex and dark roles in the industry. Rupali praised the actor and called him a “beautiful human being and a great soul to be with.”
