Vicky Kaushal has shared a glimpse of the prosthetic scars on his back from Sardar Udham and called it ‘cuts that didn’t make the cut’.
Vicky Kaushal is on cloud nine after the release of his latest film, Sardar Udham. The film has been garnering praise from all quarters. His acting, screen presence, and everything else are also being appreciated by one and all. His personal life is also amassing attention, as his rumoured girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s attended the special screening of the film, and several videos, depicting their intimacy, have since gone viral.
Vicky was said to have undergone a major transformation for Sardar Udham. He gained and then lost a lot of weight to look like Sardar Udham Singh, the revolutionary on whose life the film is made. Also, certain scenes of the movie needed him to wear prosthetic scars. Vicky on Tuesday shared a glimpse of those scars on his back and called it ‘cuts that didn’t make the cut’. He tagged prosthetic make-up artist Peter Gorshenin. The caption implies that the scene that showed these scars did not make it to the final edit.
Stunned by the precision of the prosthetics, fans were curious to know if the wounds were real. Many fans also showered praises over Vicky’s performance and the film. However, some had a witty take on the picture.
A few were concerned about how Katrina must feel seeing these wounds. One of them quipped, “Katrina ko dukh hoga.”

For the unversed, the month of August had made way to rumours that said that Vicky and Katrina had got engaged in a hush-hush roka ceremony. Kat’s team immediately shut down the rumours.
Vicky recently spoke about his first reaction when he heard the rumours. In an interview with radio host Siddharth Kannan, he said, “To be honest, mere paas woh mental space hi nahi tha (I didn’t have the mental space), because I was right in the middle of a shoot.”
