Vikas Bahl, Did You LIE That Kangana Ranaut Was The First Choice For Queen? Wouldn't Even Kareena Kapoor Want To Know!- EXCLUSIVE
Filmmaker Vikas Bahl, when he had signed Kangana Ranaut to play the protagonist in his film Queen, had said he hadn't considered any other actress. But, we want to ask him, whether he lied about this because Kareena Kapoor's latest claims hint otherwise
Filmmaker Vikas Bahl, when he had signed Kangana Ranaut to play the protagonist in his film Queen, had said he hadn't considered any other actress to play the married girl who goes on a honeymoon without her spouse.
Quoting Bahl from IANS: "I always wanted Kangana for the film. Kangana was the first and last choice for Queen because Kangana is a very bright girl and she has added value to her role.
Kangana is apt for the role. If she plays an alcoholic woman, we feel she is alcoholic in real life. If she plays a psychotic role, we feel this is how she is in real life, and this is her beauty. Whatever she does on the screen, it looks very real and I wanted someone like that."
Mr Bahl, there is no doubt about Kangana's acting abilities. She is an ocean of talent. She will unarguably be in the list of India's Best Actresses. But my simple question to you is: Did you lie?
I ask you this because Kareena has gone on record in the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2019 in New Delhi to say that she was offered Queen but she turned it down.
So Mr Bahl, can you please come out from your hibernation (you were not available for interviews during the release of Super 30 because you didn't want to face questions about alleged sexual misconduct levied at you by an employee of Phantom Films, as reported by Huffington Post in Oct 2018) and explain?
First, of course, whether you lied to the media that Kangana was the first choice? (Was it because you didn't want anybody to know that Kareena had refused it?)
Or, did the producers of your film (Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena) go against your wishes and knock Kareena's door (would be difficult to digest that because your collaboration with them- Phantom Films- was thick then).
Twitter is the best option if you still want to lie low. I think everyone is interested in the answers to these questions, including Kareena.
