The legendary stars proved that two actors can be friends. Talking about coincidences, did you know that these two best friends - Vinod Khanna and Feroz Khan passed away eight years apart on the 'same date' due to the 'same disease'? Shocking, isn't it? But yes, that's true! Vinod Khanna, one of the most versatile actors of his generation passed away on the same date as his closest friend Feroz Khan who died eight years ago.
Much to your surprise, Vinod Khanna and Feroz Khan were of the same age at the time of their demise and also, they suffered from the same disease i.e. cancer. For the uninitiated, Vinod Khanna and Feroz Khan worked together in some movies like Qurbani in 1980 and Dayavan in 1988. Both the movies were a huge hit.
The first film the two ever acted in was Shankar Shambu in 1976, where Feroz Khan essayed the role of Shankar and Vinod Khanna played Shambu. Reportedly, that's when the actors became friends and later best friends. The duo's terrific performance in Dayavan, which was a remake of Tamil film Nayakan, directed by Feroz is still etched in minds.

It was on 27th April 2009, Feroz Khan passed away due to lung cancer in Bengaluru. Before the actor breathed his last, Vinod Khanna and Dharmendra had visited him in the hospital and apparently they two shared an emotional moment. It was in 2017, 8 years later on 27th April, Vinod Khanna passed away due to cancer at the age of 70. The duo's friendship is remembered till date.
