Vir Das Takes A Dig At Cowin App; Compares It To A Dating App As People Face Issues While Registering
Many Bollywood celebs were seen urging citizens of the country to register themselves to get vaccinated against the novel Coronavirus. While in the first phase the government vaccinated senior citizens and 45+, from today onwards all the citizens above the age of 18 can register online and take one step ahead to defeat the virus. But as soon as the announcement was done and people got online to register themselves, many faced issues as they could not find a slot or a hospital to get vaccinated.

Now, this caught comedian-actor Vir Das’ attention, the actor took a dig at the Cowin app that is used by the people for registration. He compared this app to an online dating app, Tinder, where even though you register, everything remains in someone else’s hands.  Vir Das’ tweet read, “Registered now. No slots available. This Cowin is like tinder...sure you can sign up...the rest of it is in someone else's hands.” Netizens were seen tweeting, “I've registered on #CowinPortal, but there's isn't a single slot available all of May. Excellent,” “I couldn't even register. No idea what to do. The portals are just as useful as those who run the country.”

Here is Vir Das’ Tweet below-

On the work front, he will be seen in an eminent role in Judd Apatow’s upcoming venture, The Bubble. Speaking about it he said, "I have been shooting for this for a bit now and I’m very excited to be part of this mega comedy project. Everyone on this cast is immensely funny and we're making something special”.
