Bollywood actor Sunny Deol made a name for himself through action movies. The angry action hero has immortalised many dialogues that are till date famous amongst the audience. One movie that is till date loved by the viewers is Gadar: Ek Prem Katha that also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead role. Fans have been waiting for an update on the release date of the 2001 movie’s sequel Gadar, where the leads will be seen reprising their roles. 

While fans have been eagerly waiting for a glimpse of the upcoming action-romantic drama, a fight scene from the movie has now gone viral. Yes, you read that right! A video from one of the fight scenes in the movie has been doing the rounds on social media. It can be seen that the characters played by Sunny, Ameesha and Utkarsh are tied to cement pillars with soldiers pointing a gun at them. In a fit of rage, in true Tara Singh fashion, Sunny manages to free himself, uprooting the entire pillar with him. Sharing the video, a Twitter user wrote, “Gadar 2 Shooting Wraped #short #viralshorts #gadar2.”

For the unversed, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) was a partition-drama. It followed the journey of Tara Singh who falls in love with a Pakistani Muslim girl Sakina. After they get married and have a kid, Sakina is forced to go to her country by her father, leaving her family. The father-son duo then goes to Pakistan to rescue her.

The upcoming movie was shot in Himachal Pradesh, Lucknow and Indore. The makers of the movie on the occasion of Republic Day have announced that Gadar 2, officially titled as Gadar: The Katha Continues will be releasing on August 11th, 2023. The movie is directed and produced by Anil Sharma.
