Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma are all set to return as the Singh family with Anil Sharma’s directorial Gadar 2. The most awaited sequel of their 2001 film is set to release this year and the fans have been eagerly waiting for an update about the movie or even a glance. Zee Studios, a media house that has produced the film, took to their official social media handle to share glimpses of movies and series’ that will be released in 2023.

In a short 50 second clip, they revealed a small snippet of Sunny’s character that reminded the fans of the first movie. In the short clip, the 66-year-old actor was seen lifting a wheel in anger, just like he had uprooted a hand pump from the ground while fighting the bad guys in the first film. The video was enough proof for the netizens to know that the movie will be action-packed and they can’t wait for the release of the trailer. For the unversed, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) was a partition-drama. It followed the journey of Tara Singh who falls in love with a Pakistani Muslim girl Sakina. After they get married and have a kid, Sakina is forced to go to her country by her father, leaving her family. The father-son duo then goes to Pakistan to rescue her.

The upcoming movie was shot in Himanchal Pradesh, Lucknow and Indore.  It was being reported the movie might release in August 2023.
