Film critic Kamaal R Khan has made a name for himself on social media by taking a digs at famous personalities in India. For the past few weeks, he has been targeting the Bollywood celebrities and pin pointing how their careers and stardoms are over for the Hindi audience. After Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, among the many that he targeted, he has now taken a jibe on The Kashmir Files’ director Vivek Agnihotri. 

Taking to the micro-blogging website, KRK not only accused Vivek of trying to gain publicity, but he also wondered why the director was allowing people to DM him. The filmmaker wrote on Twitter, “My friend @vivekagnihotri is trying to get publicity out of #Pathaan Controversy. So he is sharing DM of some Nalla people. Many people are threatening me everyday but I won’t do that. While some fans supported his views and said how the director was gaining limelight by sharing death threats on social media, others bashed him as well as Vivek for being ‘nalla’ people. A few days prior, the director had taken to Twitter to criticize Pathaan’s song Besharam Rang by sharing a video of a young girl questioning filmmakers why they need to show women’s bodies in scantily clad clothes. Owing to the same many netizens has bashed him and dug out pictures of his daughter flaunting her figure in saffron bikinis. Some fans took a step further by sending Agnihotri curse words and death threats on his direct messages.

Addressing the same, Vivek had said, “Badshah was right. There is negativity on social media. (But we are positive).”


On the work front, Vivek Agnihotri is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie The Vaccine War.
