Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and Indian filmmaker Karan Johar share a very close bond. Having launched the actor’s acting career with the movie Student Of The Year in 2012, they often share hilarious banter when they come together. They recently shared the stage during the announcement of Citadel: Honey Bunny, which also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead, during an Amazon Prime Video event. A video of the same is going viral, where the filmmaker is left embarrassed when Varun and Samantha both try to touch his feet.
During the announcement of Citadel’s Indian spinoff on Tuesday afternoon, the leads of the show were joined by the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director. As he introduced Varun, the actor bent down to touch his feet. Just as the filmmaker was busy reacting to his shenanigans, Samantha too rushed to touch Karan’s feet leaving him embarrassed. He exclaimed, “No!” Varun jokingly went on to mention how everyone should touch Johar’s feet. Chastising the 36-year-old actor, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director shared how he doesn’t want to be aged on the set as he is fighting his mid-life crisis. Quoted by the Firstpost, he added, “I don’t need you to put me in my place. Thank you.” The Baby John actor further pulled the filmmaker’s leg by stating that the latter seems to take good care of his skin as he “does a great job with his dermatologist.” Refuting Varun’s claims, the 51-year-old expressed, “I’ve done a what job? On the work front, Varun Dhawan has Atlee’s Baby John, Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Bhediya 2, a sequel to his 2022 horror comedy in his pipeline.
