But ofcourse, a fairytale wedding like theirs didn’t take place on a whim; or without its share of meticulous planning. A team of highly skilled professionals was at work, for 4 months, to make this dream destination wedding come to life, and blow the imagination of Virushka’s fans world over.
SpotboyE.com was the first to break the news of Virat-Anushka’s wedding in October. A highly skilled team was already at work that time, to bring this larger-than-life wedding to life. Now, we have learnt that it took a full 4 months to plan the shaadi.
The bride’s wedding lehenga itself, took a month to make. Designer Sabyasachi who put together Anushka’s trousseau shared that it took 67 karigars, 32 days to put together just one lehenga.
The venue, Borgo Finocchieto in Tuscany, is the second most expensive holiday rental in the world during Christmas and New Year’s, according to a report in Forbes magazine. Naturally, Virat and Anushka booked the prime luxury venue, months back. It is reported, that the hotel (which is actually a small village into itself) that charges Rs 94,83,210 per week, which is about Rs 13,54,744 per night. To book and decorate this 800-year old village, and make it wedding-ready, we’re sure needed weeks of meticulous planning and execution.
Lucknow girl Devika Narain, who boasts of having handled some rather high profile wedding assignments, was at the helm of Virushka wedding. Devika and her photographer husband Joseph Radhik, conceptualised and clicked the shaadi.
