In an interview to fashion magazine, Vogue, Anushka spilled the beans and revealed what fake name Virat was given during their wedding. “We wanted to have a home-style wedding. There were only 42 people there, with all our friends and family present. I wanted it to be about Virat and me marrying each other, and not this big celebrity wedding. The energy at our wedding was blessed. I think Virat’s was Rahul,” said Anushka.

Talking about their wedding, which took place at Tuscany, Italy on November 11, 2017, the ceremonies were intimate and included only family members of both sides with a few close friends. Anushka’s bridal look, designed by Sabyasachi, became a rage. Warm and subtle tones of peach, pink and green took over the bridal collections of the season. Social media was flooded with videos and pictures of their Italy wedding- one of them was Anushka’s Bidaai video, which took Internet by storm.
