Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are the IT couple today but they have undergone their share of rough patches too. Before getting back to each other, there came a phase when Virat's performance was on a downfall. The team was losing matches in a row and quite disgustingly all this was linked to Anushka Sharma's presence in Virat's life. She was termed as a distraction in the cricketer's life.
Virat stood by Anushka then and even today he
has not forgotten what happened then.

No wonder, last night, after registering a
record-breaking victory against South Africa, Virat in his speech during the
presentation ceremony made a point to thank his wife and say that although she
has been slammed in the past, but the truth is she is the driving force in his
life.
A proud Virat said, "My wife who
keeps me motivated deserves a lot of credit. I want to thank my wife. She has
been a huge factor. She deserves a lot of appreciation for it. She has been
criticized a lot, but she is one person who kept pushing me."

So, that's that for those who thought that
Anushka was just a distraction in Virat's life.
Meanwhile, wifey dear also showered a lot of
praises for hubby for his 35TH century and India's win. India beat South Africa
(who put up a chase of 204 runs) by 8 wickets that too in just 32 overs. This
is the first time India has ever won a series against South Africa on their
home ground.

Virat not only won the man of the match, but even won the man of the series
trophy for being the highest run scorer in the tournament. He smashed 558 runs
in just the 5 ODI series to become the only cricket player to score more than
500 runs in a bilateral series.
Anushka took to Instagram and posted a
screenshot of the score board and her husband, captioning it once again as,
'What A Guy'.
