Vishal, Kangana and Shahid Organise Special Screening Of Rangoon For Filmmaker Friends
Rangoon, Vishal Bhardwaj’s much awaited period drama starring Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor, was screened for the leading filmmakers of the fraternity on Tuesday night.

The screening was held at Santacruz’s preview theatre Lightbox, owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, where Kareena Kapoor Khan caught up with Rangoon on Sunday night.

While Kareena enjoyed the movie without much company, this time the red carpet leading to the hall was a star-studded one.

Kangana Ranaut walked in solo, looking glamorous in a pin-striped tuxedo while Shahid Kapoor had wife Mira Rajput on his arm.

Like the couple, Randeep Hooda too kept it casual, even though his beard, as always, stole the show.

Vishal Bhardwaj had invited his filmmaker pals to take a dekko at the film before its release and they all turned up. Nitesh Tiwari, Aanand L. Rai, Vikas Bahl, R. Balki, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, Gauri Shinde, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Anupama Chopra were among the guests at the special screening.

Rangoon, which tells the love story of an actress and a soldier set during World War 2, has got the right buzz, with its music too steadily climbing up the charts.

And once the directors stepped out after the screening, they too were all praise for the film. Will the audience agree? February 24 will bring all the answers.
