A major gas leak has occurred in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, seven people have died while 300 have been hospitalised. Bollywood celebs send prayers for the victims

For quite some time now, people are waking up to unhappy and depressing news. After the outbreak of Coronavirus which is affecting a huge number of people around the world, today we woke up with the news of gas leak in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, seven people have died while more than 300 have been hospitalised after a gas leakage was reported from a chemical plant in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam early on Thursday. The news was reported at the LG Polymers industry in RR Venkatapuram village.

After the incident, GVMC (Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation) made a tweet on the same which read, "There is (a) gas leakage identified at LG Polymers in Gopalpatnam. Requesting citizens around these locations not to come out of houses for the sake of safety precautions.” Another tweet read, “Please use a wet cloth as a mask to cover your nose and mouth.” As this news has become a matter of concern, quite a few Bollywood celebs including, Arjun Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ali Fazal, Rakul Preet Singh, Tisca Chopra and many more have come forward and expressed their views and concern.

While sharing a tweet on the same, Rakul wrote, “So sad to about the #VizagGasLeak! My heart goes to all the people affected by this. I hope measures are taken really soon to get things under control. Stay safe my vizag people.” South, as well as Bollywood actor R Madhavan has also tweeted which read, “Praying for the victims of this horrific incident. I hope the sick ones recover soon.” On the other hand, Ali Fazal sends prayers to the people as his tweet read, “Prayers with everyone affected by the #vizaggasleak.
