Having a couple of drinks before performing a drunken scene is pretty common among actors. But when the actor goes overboard, this is what happens.
R Madhavan was filming for a scene in Saala Khadoos, where he was supposed to sit and chat with his friend (played by Naseer) over a couple of drinks. The shot was set up in a local shack on a beach in Chennai. To get the shot perfect, Maddy decided to have some alcohol. Unfortunately for him, the alcohol that was available at the shack was just some desi vodka.
Jaldi chad gayi. Maddy got sloshed and kept puking all over the sets. He forgot his lines, broke a couple of chair-tables in the shack, and at times, even slapped his co-star Naseer (thankfully, not Shah). Director, Sudha Kongara Prasad was visibly angry at his misbehaviour – but there was little she could do.
The shoot had to be rescheduled for another day.
