Aamir Khan is reportedly struggling to come to terms with the harsh reality that his latest release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has failed at the box office. Not just in terms of collection, the film, which was a Hindi remake of the 1994 American blockbuster ‘Forrest Gump’ has also failed to win the hearts of audiences. Following this, Aamir is said to have gone into a state of deep shock as he had put his heart and soul into making this film. As per several media reports, the actor has decided to compensate to the distributors for the huge loss at the ticket window.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, a close friend of Khan and his former wife Kiran Rao has revealed that the actor is in a state of shock and that rejection has hit him very hard. The insider was quoted saying, “Aamir had worked really hard to make the best version of Forrest Gump possible. It is also being said that Aamir, who has co-produced ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has taken full responsibility for the film’s failure and thus he decided to compensate for the heavy losses incurred by distributors. Meanwhile, many of Khan’s B-Town friends and family members have urged the people to watch the film. His niece, Zayn Marie Khan appealed to everyone to not "let a hate campaign destroy this beautiful movie."

Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ collected Rs 12 crore on its opening day and this is said to be the lowest and worst opening figure of any Aamir film in the last 13 years. Released on 11th August, the film that also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan reportedly minted just Rs. 46 crore in 5 days.
