Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan left fans speechless with her two appearances on the red carpet of the 77th Cannes Film Festival. From her fashion ensembles to her makeup and hair, the actress took over social media as fans couldn’t stop praising her. However, it was the white cast on her arm that raised a lot of alarm bells. She attended the prestigious event with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Despite an injured arm, she slayed her looks. Now, a recent report states that she injured her arm after a bad fall at her Mumbai residence.
As reported by News18, the 50-year-old actress fractured her arm on May 11, after she had a bad fall at her Mumbai residence. Apparently she decided to complete all her work commitments as she waited for the swelling in her wrist to reduce. Quoting a report by Mid-Day, the media publication stated that once she is cleared by her doctors, she will be undergoing surgery. An insider to the daily that she did her costume fitting with her designers, two days after her fall. News18 quoted Mid-Day’s source stating, “Two days after her fall, she did her costume fittings with her designers, and only requested that they ensure that the venue was spacious and comfortable so that she could avoid another injury. The report added, “Her doctors had stated that she could undergo surgery after the swelling had subsided, and had granted permission to travel for the festival. She is likely to be seen in a splint for a month, and will subsequently undergo physiotherapy to regain her strength.”
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actress is yet to announce her next project.
