Hansika Motwani, in her web-series has addressed the age-old rumours of her mother giving her hormonal injections, so that she could look older in movies
After starting out as a child actor in Shaka Laka Boom Boom and then Koi Mil Gaya, actress Hansika Motwani went on to do movies in the South industry. While the actress was busy shaping up her career, there were many rumours and reports stating that her mother had given her hormonal injections so that she could grow faster. The actress and her mother have addressed these wild rumours in the recent episode of her wedding reality show, Love Shaadi Drama.
Talking about the rumours, Hansika shed light on how the media used to write baseless articles when she turned 21. Quoted by Hindustan Times, she said, “This is the expense of being a celebrity. They wrote such crap when I was 21, you know what I am talking about… If I could have taken it that time, I can take it this time. This time is nothing… Everyone wrote I have taken injections to grow up. When I was eight, then I became an actress, people said that my mum has given me injections, hormonal injections to grow up as a woman.” ALSO READ: OMG! Her mother further added that their family should have been richer than the Tata’s and the Birla’s for them to afford hormonal injections. She revealed that daughter’s from Punjabi families grow-up really quickly between the age of 12 to 16. She said, “If that is true, then I must be richer than Tata, Birla. If that is true, then I would have said, ‘Tum bhi aao, aa kar apni haddi baddi karvao’. What I am surprised about is that people who write this, Unke pass dimaag naam ki cheez nahi hoti hai kya? We are Punjabi people, our daughters shoot up between the age of 12 and 16.”
This is not the first time a mother of a child actress has been accused of giving a kid hormonal injections so that they can grow-up early and star in projects opposite male leads who are way older than them and we are certain it wouldn’t be the last time. Talking about Hansika, the diva got married to hubby Sohael Kathuriya in a wedding ceremony that screamed royalty. They promised each other a lifetime of togetherness in Mundota Fort and Palace, Jaipur on December 4. Hansika and Sohael complemented each other as she was dressed in a gorgeous ensemble of red and gold lehenga and he was dressed in a cream coloured sherwani and doshala. The actress completed her look with heavy gold jewellery consisting of a choker, matching earrings, maang teeka and her gorgeous set of chooda.
