WHAT? Janhvi Kapoor Reveals Her Dad Boney Kapoor Isn’t Rich Enough To Get Her Acting Opportunities; Says, ‘They Must’ve Appreciated Something About Me’
The Internet is indeed a scary place and being an actor, a star kid, who enjoys the limelight is tough. Their every move is judged by the media, which often leads to them getting brutally trolled for something as minuscule as the clothes they wear or how they pose. It takes guts to address the criticisms made by faceless trolls. Janhvi Kapoor is one such actor.

She has been facing a lot of criticism even before making her debut with Dhadak in 2018. During a recent interview with Siddharth Kanna, Janhvi admitted that even though her entry into Bollywood was smooth because of her father’s connections in the industry, he wasn’t rich enough to pay every producer to take her in their film. She went on to say that filmmakers must have seen her potential and merit to have decided to give her more roles.

Sharing her analysis of the opportunities she has received, the 25-year-old actress shared, "I’ve analysed this on the basis of the kind of opportunities that I’m getting. My first film, yes, perhaps there was a curiosity about me being Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter. And maybe that curiosity extended to my second film. But what about the ones after that? They’ve seen me now. What curiosity could there possibly be anymore?"

She shared that nobody in the industry is large-hearted enough to launch a star kid and incur monetary losses. She said, "Now if I’m getting any work, it must be on the merit of what they think I can offer. It’s not like I’m paying people to take me (in their films). I’m not that rich. Nor is my dad. They must’ve appreciated something about me. Nobody is so large-hearted that they’d launch a star kid and take a monetary loss."

On the work front, Janhvi is currently busy promoting her movie Mili, which is set to be released on the big screen on November 4. The movie also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles.
