Jiah Khan, who made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Ram Gopal Verma’s film ‘Nishabd’ was reportedly found dead in her Mumbai apartment in 2013. She passed away at the age of 25. Although her death was ruled a suicide, her mother Rabiya claimed that she was murdered. Jiah was widely known for her brief role in Aamir Khan’s super hit film ‘Ghajini’. Many assumed that Khan offered the late actress role in the film because she was his step-sister. Shocked right?
As per reports, Jiah Khan's mother and yesteryear actress Rabiya Khan was in a relationship with Aamir Khan’s father Tahir Hussain. There was a time when they both were dating each other and thus Jiah was said to be Aamir Khan's step-sister. However, nothing has been confirmed in this regard. This shocking news back then had left everyone shocked. To note, Rabiya and Tahir had featured together in several films. It was also speculated that there were some similarities between Aamir and Jiah’s facial features. In an old interview, Aamir’s father Tahir had reacted to such claims and called them baseless allegations. He said, “As far as I know, Rabiya is married to a man from Pakistan. Rabiya is a very close friend of mine, but I was never married to her and Jiah is not my daughter.”
In fact, the late actress Jiah too had dismissed similar rumours and revealed that she never knew who her father was, and she had never asked her mother about him. Jiah Khan had stated, “This is completely untrue and utter rubbish. To be frank I don’t know much about my father and I have never asked my mother about him. All I know is that he was an American.”
In 2018, nearly five years after Jiah’s death, a court in Mumbai charged her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi with abetting Khan's suicide.
