Kartik Aaryan being a part of the Hera Pheri franchise did not go down well with the netizens
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has become one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. His movie Bhool Bhulaiya 2 became a blockbuster hit at the box office, officially lifting the curse of Bollywood movies not working on the big screen. The actor, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming dark thriller, Freddy, made headlines last month for being a part of Hera Pheri 3.
It was widely reported that Kartik would replace Akshay Kumar’s Raju. Refuting the rumours, Suniel Shetty, who played the role of Shyam, said that the young actor was approached for a different role. Well, if reports are to be believed, Kartik was not the makers’ first choice. Yes, you read that right! The makers wanted to rope in Varun Dhawan for a new character, but after he refused, they approached the 32-year-old actor, and he said yes. If a report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, the Bhediya actor declined the project out of respect for Akshay. According to the source, Varun was very excited to be a part of the franchise, but he didn’t want to "benefit from the ‘not-so-good equation’ between Akshay and Hera Pheri producer Firoz Nadiadwala." It is also being reported that his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, too, supported his decision.
Akshay Kumar had caused quite the stir when he opened up about not associating with movies like Hera Pheri 3, Awara Paagal Deewana 2, and Welcome 3. He had said that he wasn’t happy with the the script of the movies. Talking about the same, his co-star Suniel Shetty had said, "I am genuinely busy with Dharavi Bank. I have had no time to sit down and work on all this. After November 19, I'll sit down and understand and talk to Akki and others and see what happened." For the unversed, the Hera Pheri franchise focuses on Raju, Shyam, and Baburao’s journey to earn money. The upcoming comedy film will be directed by Neeraj Vora and produced by Feroz Nadiadwala.
