Evelyn Sharma, who became popular for playing Lara in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) and Janet D’Souza in Yaariyan (2014), has found a new way to connect with her fans.
On her birthday on July 12, the Frankfurt-born actress released a video on her Youtube channel, explaining her journey from Germany to Bollywood (above).
Born to a German mother and Punjabi father, Evelyn recalls her ordinary childhood and how one modelling assignment changed her entire life.
The 30-year-old actress says her co-stars Ayushmann Khurrana (Nautanki Saala, 2013) and Ranbir Kapoor (YJHD) helped her in her journey to stardom. Seems, Ayushmann got her in touch with her Indian roots by teaching her to eat with hands. Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, taught her how to remain grounded in this field of glamour.
