Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is currently in the best phase of her life. She is flourishing on her professional as well as personal front. Alia is currently making the most of her motherhood phase and is spending maximum time with her newborn daughter Raha. Last year in November, Bhatt and her actor husband Ranbir welcomed their first child, a daughter, and named her Raha on the advice of Neetu Kapoor. But did you know initially Raha was not Alia’s choice of name as she had a different name in her mind?
As per the reports, Alia graced an episode of the reality show Super Dancer where she loved the name ‘Almaa’ and said she would love to keep it for her future daughter. It happened when the actress visited the show in 2019 during the promotion of her film Gully Boy. One of the young participants misspelled Alia’s name as ‘Almaa’. Earlier, while dropping the first picture of her baby girl the Raazi actress had revealed that her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor chose the name Raha. She had written, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings...Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili. She is joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan. In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief. In Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom and bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it all. Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”
For the unversed, Alia and Ranbir embraced parenthood nearly three months after getting married. The Brahmastra couple tied the knot in April at RK’s house Vastu in the presence of their few family members and close friends.
