Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been basking in the box-office success of Animal for months now. After leaving the fans spellbound as he toured the streets of Mumbai in his new luxurious car, glimpses of him prepping for his character of Lord Ram, for Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayan have surfaced on the internet. Now, as the excitement for the movie is skyrocketing, let us take a look at the fee the cast of the much-anticipated film is charging for their roles.
Starting with the lead actress of the film, Sai Pallavi, who will be essaying the role of Mata Sita in Ramayana. Quoting a report by the Times Of India, Bollywood Life stated that she is charging Rs 6 crores for her portrayal. She reportedly always charges Rs 2.5-3 crore for her previous films. The lead hero, Ranbir Kapoor, who will be essaying the role of Lord Ram in Ramayana, has reportedly charged 2400% higher than the actress. Yes, you read it right! As reported by Bollywood Life, the actor has charged a whopping Rs 225 crore for his role in the magnum opus. He usually charges Rs 75 crore for his film. On the other hand, Yash, who rose to fame with his movie KGF, will be essaying the role of Ravana in Ramayan. While he usually charges Rs 50 crore for his projects, the entertainment portal reports that for the much-anticipated movie he has charged Rs 150 crore. Talking about the beautiful set of the film, the gorgeous and grand set up of Ayodhya is worth around Rs 11 crore.
If reports are to be believed, Arun Govil will essay the role of Dashrath and Lara Dutta will play the role of Kaikeyi. While Naveen Polishetty will be Lakshman, Sunny Deol will play the role of Lord Hanuman. Sakshi Tanwar will be essaying the role of Mandodari. The first installment of the film is said to be released in 2025.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently working on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan which also stars Sai Pallavi, Yash, Lara Dutta, and others in pivotal roles. He will be next seen in the sequel of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster film Animal, Animal Park. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise in his pipeline.
