Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan sold its online rights to OTT giant before its release
Shah Rukh Khan is a huge superstar and loved by millions across the globe. King Khan’s hot looks and sense of humor attract people. The superstar was last seen in his 2018 film Zero and fans are eagerly waiting for him to appear back on screen.
The king of romance will be back on the 70MM screen with the three mammoth projects Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, scheduled to be released next year. Now, according to reports, the online rights of jawan have already been sold to the OTT giant before its release.
Hitmaker Atlee Kumar’s directorial Jawan is going to be an action film with Nayanthara as the leading lady. According to BollywoodLife report, Jawan has already locked the massive deal before its release. Movie’s digital streaming rights have been sold to Netflix for a whopping amount of Rs 120 crores.
Yes, you read right! The film closed the massive deal as it looks promising. However, there is no confirmation from the makers.
Recently, through an Instagram post, SRK revealed the rugged look of Jawan in which his face and hands are covered with white bandages. Meanwhile, other reports suggest that Deepika Padukone and Rana Daggubati will also join the cast and have guest appearances in the movie.
Speaking about the film the Don actor opened up about the film on Instagram live and said, “There is still a long way to go. There is not much I can tell you about Jawan except the fact that I am having a great time as an actor. And Atlee, the director, it is a different kind of film. Everybody has seen his work. He makes outstanding mass-oriented films, again a genre I have never done. So, I wanted to try my hands on it. And I think me and Atlee have good chemistry. I bring in some (to the film), and he brings in some. Whatever we have done of Jawan is thrilling and exciting.”
The film is slated to release on June 2, 2023, pan India Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
