Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela recently made heads turn with her fabulous sartorial choices at Cannes 2023. On the first day, she slayed the red carpet in Sima Couture’s outfit featured tiered layers of floral ruffle, and she accessorised her look with a Cartier neckpiece featuring two intertwined crocodiles. Her crocodile necklace which is said to be worth Rs 200 crores grabbed many eyeballs and the neckpiece became the talk of the town. However, diet Sabya has revealed that Urvashi’s crocodile necklace is fake and called it a ‘gandi copy.’

A jewellery expert named Arundhati De Sheth posted a video of Urvashi's viral crocodile neckpiece on her Instagram handle and asked the actress whether she is wearing the original Cartier Maria Felix crocodile necklace. The jewelry expert said if so, then who is the maker of the earrings? Arundhati wrote, “And, who is the maker of the earrings? Clarification desperately needed! Won't get sleep.” In the next follow-up post, Sheth posted photos of the original piece and slammed Urvashi saying wearing an ugly copy of the historic neckpiece, while representing India is shameful. She wrote, “Going to Cannes in France. Home of @cartier- Then wearing a poor shoddy sad ugly copy of a historic piece. Allegedly representing our nation and pretending to be wearing the real thing. When it's been hastily crafted in the back of beyond. Shameful @teamurvashirautelaofficial it seems you have not done any homework. We are a land of the most special treasures and jewels that she could have worn instead - this is blatant and so sad (sic).”
Diet Sabya reposted her stories and also shared a video of Urvashi, and called her jewellery a 'dirty copy'. Her post read, “babe it’s a gandi copy now what iconic.”
Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela on the first day of Cannes wore a strapless tulle gown featuring sparkling embellishments with a crocodile-inspired choker design wrapped around her neck. The Sanam Re actress even got trolled on social media with netizens making hilarious jokes about the actress. The said necklace is reportedly crafted in gold and features diamonds and emeralds.
