WHAT! Vivek Agnihotri Criticizes Aamir Khan-Kiara Advani For Their New Commercial; ‘Aisi Bakwaas Karte Hain Fir Kehte Hain Hindus Are Trolling Idiots'
Bollywood’s perfectionist Aamir Khan and stunning Kiara Advani recently teamed up together for a bank commercial. In the ad, they played newlyweds, returning from their wedding in a car, and discussed why they didn’t cry during the bride’s bidaai ceremony. Aamir and Kiara broke some stereotypes related to a wedding and rooted for a change. However, their commercial did not go down well with some netizens, including filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. The Kashmir Files director took to his Twitter handle to slam the ad.

Vivek shared a video of the bank commercial and wrote, “I just fail to understand since when Banks have become responsible for changing social & religious traditions? I think @aubankindia should do activism by changing corrupt banking system. Aisi bakwaas karte hain fir kehte hain Hindus are trolling. Idiots.” In the video, Kiara and Aamir could be seen in their wedding outfits. Aamir asked Kiara, “This has happened for the first time that a bride did not cry at her bidaai.” To this, she pointed out that even he did not cry. Aamir then made a goofy expression and said  “Why should traditions that have continued for centuries continue to do so? That’s why we question every banking tradition. So that you get the best service.” ALSO READ: WHAT! Taking to the comments section of Vivek's post, several netizens trolled both Aamir and Kiara for featuring as a married couple in the ad. One user wrote, “Pehle toh mujhe inki shadi manzoor nahi hai. Bank ka badh mein dekhte hai kya karna hai.”   Another angry user asked Aamir, “Why is he not wearing burqa and hijab for a change?.”

Interestingly, previously, Vivek Agnihotri had slammed Aamir over the box office failure of his film Laal Singh Chaddha. The filmmaker in an interview mentioned that the film failed not due to a boycott trend but because people saw a lack of sincerity in Aamir Khan.
