What’s Keeping Karan Johar Away From His Darling Twins Yash & Roohi?

Karan Johar will be spending some time away from his six-month-old twins, Yash and Roohi. Karan has flown off to London for a special assignment and the babies are in the care of his mother Hiroo Johar.

Why is Karan spending time away from his precious children, you ask. Well, the filmmaker is once again stepping in front of the cameras. This time, he has a cameo in Vashu Bhagnani’s upcoming film, IIFA.

But Karan is a protective father and while at the airport, he was spotted having a conversation with his mother about the babies and their whereabouts. He is getting regular updates about Yash and Roohi while he is away.

The 45-year-old director had earlier flown to New York to host the IIFA Weekend and at that point he had posted a photograph which showed the cute little hands of Yash and Roohi. "I miss my babies!!!! #roohiandyash," he had written.

Karan Johar became parent to twins via surrogacy in February. He brought his children home in March, 50 days after they were hospitalized due to their premature birth. Karan named his son after his late father Yash Johar and Roohi is a rearrangement of his mother's name Hiroo.

Karan had spoken about the challenges of being a single parent at an event recently.

"I am playing both mother and father in this dynamic, so I have a double role to play and for me, it's even more daunting. I have told myself that I am not going to be a hysterical, hyper parent because I see so many of them around me and specially leading actresses who become mothers. From leading actresses, they become paranoid parents," said the filmmaker.
