When Malaika Arora Reacted To 'Item Girl' Remark; 'Salman Khan Hasn't Made Me, I'm A Self-Made Woman'

Malaika Arora is one of the most loved celebrities of Bollywood. She has successfully carved a niche for herself in the industry with her hard work and talent. She earned huge popularity after doing the song 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' in Shah Rukh Khan-Manisha Koirala starrer hit film 'Dil Se'. She later appeared in several songs. She also mesmerised fans with her dance moves and beauty in the song 'Munni Badnaam Hui' from Salman Khan's movie Dabangg.
She had to face a lot of criticism over the years for the 'item girl' tag that was once attached to her name. A few believed that she got such opportunities because she is a part of the Khan family. Malaika was married to actor Arbaaz Khan, and later parted ways in 2017.
Reportedly, Rakhi Sawant had once said that Malaika Arora is not called an item girl because she is a relative of Salman Khan. And in an interview with Hindustan Times in 2008, Malaika reacted to Rakhi's comment. She said, "In that case I should be in every Salman film and in every special appearance song he does. Malaika is currently seen as a judge on India's Best Dancer 2 along with Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. On the personal front, she is dating actor Arjun Kapoor. The couple keep giving fans major relationship goals. A couple of days ago, Arjun shared a candid picture of the couple on their way to Anil Kapoor's Diwali party. The picture features the two of them with their backs partly towards the camera. Both are seen laughing at something. He captioned it as, "When she laughs at my nonsense, she makes me happy," tagging her in the post.
