Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is one of the most bankable celebrities in India. Despite belonging from the royal lineage, he made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. It was in 2018 when he had appeared in court for the hearing of the blackbuck poaching case. He had gotten into legal trouble for being involved in killing a blackbuck during the shoot of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain, alongside Salman Khan, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and Sonali Bendre. The actor’s car was surrounded by a hoard of paparazzi and media personnelles who were waiting for him to share his take on the case and the court proceedings. In the video uploaded by ANI, on their official Twitter handle, a visibly irritated Saif calmly but with authority lashed out at his driver. He told the driver, “Sheesha upar karo, reverse karo warna padegi ek.” Well, it is safe to say the actor’s words left the internet divided. While one section of netizens bashed him for showing fake modesty, others claimed that he was just warning the driver as the media can get quite harsh while taking a byte. Coming back to the verdict of the case, the 52-year-old actor was charged with abetting, poaching and illegal assembly under Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). However, due to lack of evidence that the animals were killed by Saif’s gun, he was acquitted.
