Kareena Kapoor Khan returned home from the hospital, with her newborn baby boy on Tuesday. The actress and her baby boy were accompanied by Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur Ali Khan. Then, it was reported yesterday that Saif and Kareena's baby boy is having a naming ceremony. Contrary to reports, speaking with SpotboyE.com, Saif confirmed that Kareena and he have not decided on a name yet, for their little one. While the couple is yet to name their second born, it was years back after son Taimur’s birth and name controversy, the actor had said that he should have added a disclaimer before Tim Tim’s name.
Speaking with Mumbai Mirror, Saif Ali Khan had said that he should have added a disclaimer before Taimur’s name, as they do it in the movies, stating that “any resemblance to any person, living or dead, is purely coincidental”. He said, “I should have added a disclaimer (to Taimur's name), as they do in the movies, that any resemblance to any person, living or dead, is purely coincidental. Yes, there were some people who raised some objections but obviously just to look at medieval history and to make value judgments is, I think, ridiculous, and a lot of people have said that on my behalf. I feel quite confident that we don’t live in a right-wing society. As yet, India is still liberal and people are still open-minded.” The actor was quoted saying this after he and wife Kareena faced severe backlash for naming their son Taimur. Back then, social media users slammed the couple for naming their son after a barbaric Turkish ruler.
Meanwhile, in 2017, the Sacred Games actor had shared that he’d also considered changing Taimur’s name after the backlash, but was talked out of it. Saif had also planned on changing Taimur’s name to ‘Faiz’ after the controversy.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who gave birth to her second child recently had said during her pregnancy that she and Saif have decided to avoid naming their baby until the last minute. On her show What Women Want, the actress had said, “After the whole controversy of Taimur, both Saif and me have not even thought about it. We’re like going to leave it last minute and then spring a surprise.” On Thursday, Kunal Kemmu, Soha Ali Khan, and Sara Ali Khan were clicked arriving at Saif’s residence to meet the newborn.
