Why Has Dharma Productions’ Drive Been Taken Off Its Roster? Lead Actor Sushant Singh Rajput Clueless About The Movie’s Navigation
Dharma Productions’ website has no mention of Sushant Singh Rajput starrer, Drive. The film seems to have gone off its release roster. After Dostana, Drive was to be Tarun Mansukhani’s second film for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

While Dostana 2 has been announced, and debutante director, Collin Dcunha, has been brought on board to helm this ship, Tarun’s Drive seems to have taken a navigational route that we can’t place.

Drive was supposed to be an action entertainer featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sapna Pabbi. It was originally slated for 2018 release. However, it could not keep up with it, hence a June 2019 release date was lined up. As we all know, Drive seems to have missed this appointment too. The latest development is that Dharma Productions has taken off any mention of the film from their release roster.

Drive

The film’s lead hero, Sushant Singh Rajput seems to be clueless about the development. Speaking to a section of the media, he recently said, “I’m really happy about something about Drive. In two states, there were floods last year. All the money I got from Drive, I gave it away for that cause. So, if it doesn’t release, I’ll feel no guilt because I’ve already given away all that money for a good cause."

According to an earlier media report, the makers of the film reportedly, lost a little faith in their lead actor. Since, Sushant’s last offering Sonchirya didn’t really make a splash at the box-office, makers seem to have become wary of Sushant’s bankable status, read a report in Pinkvilla.

Will Sushant’s upcoming film, Dangal hitmaker, Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore, bring him a taste of box-office glory and instil faith in Dharma to revive Drive? Or, will Drive take the web route and see an OTT release?
