We were the first ones to tell you that Ekta Kapoor is all set to bring back her popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Also, we informed you how Cezzane Khan has been replaced by Shaheer Sheikh. Now, buzz is that Shaheer's girlfriend Erica Fernandes is all set to step into the shoes of Shweta Tiwari for the sequel of the hit daily soap.
There hasn't been any official confirmation as of yet from the makers of the show, but there is a strong buzz suggesting that Erica will step into the shoes of Ekta Kapoor’s Prerna Sharma.
Ekta had taken to social media to announce the return of the show, a few weeks back. On her Twitter handle she wrote, “With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001, 17 years later I Reboot it dipping in personal pain & lacing it with experiences of an older me! Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 yrs! Again I’ll take my broken heart & make it into art! #NamesToBeAnnounced"
Ekta has a long list of shows which ran for long periods of time. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi had a great run from 2000-2008, Sakshi Tanwar’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii too aired during the same time. However, Kasautii Zindagii Kay premiered in 2001 and continued till 2009, making it a 9-year run.
Coming back to the casting, Shaheer and Erica have previously worked together as the lead of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. Will the two be able to create the same magic as Anurag Basu and Prerna Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2?
