Will The Fate Of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Decide Whether Mahira Khan Stays In Raees?
Despite producer Ritesh Sidhwani’s clarifications, rumours continue to fly that Mahira’s place might still be danger
After certain sections of the media reported that makers of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees are contemplating re-shooting Mahira Khan’s portions with another lead, due to the escalated tension between India and Pakistan, producer Ritesh Sidhwani went on record to refute the rumours.
He said, “I do not understand where all this is coming from. I would only say one thing - I have shot with the girl for 45 days and finished the film, I hope that clarifies things. I was not reacting to such reports or commenting because I feel that when someone speculates something and you go and respond to it, you are providing a platform to such speculations and rumours. I feel it is better to ignore such things.”

However, despite Ritesh’s clarifications, rumours continue to fly that Mahira’s place might still be danger. While speaking to a source close to the team yesterday, we were told that there is still a chance that Mahira’s portions might be deleted from the final draft.
We hear, the producers are eager to see how Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will fare in midst the controversy and then take a call.
Let’s wait and watch to see if Mahira manages to retain her spot in the bootlegger’s story. Raees hits theatres in January 2017.
