Will YRF & Boney Kapoor’s Projects Too Face The Wrath Of The MNS Threat?

It’s already been a day since MNS sent the threat to Pakistani artistes to leave India in 48 hours, which means they have only few hours left before MNS swings into action.

The limelight is on known faces   like Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar and Mahira Khan, but there are at least two other artistes who came crossing the border and are paving their way into the industry.

For starters, Boney Kapoor’s next venture Mom stars a Pakistani actress. After creating waves on TV with her show Gul-e-Rana , Sajal Aly will be making her Bollywood debut with Boney’s film. Mom is a women-centric film that features Sridevi as a stepmother who is in conflict with her 18-year old daughter.

The actress has already shot for the film, only a few days of patch work remain. She also posted an on-location picture with Sri Devi and the Kapoor clan few months ago.

Although the film is slated to release in 2017, the question remains whether Boney will go ahead and release the film with Sajal or will he too be asked to chop off Sajal’s role in order to release his film? We know how BJP has been vociferous in demanding that Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan's roles should be deleted from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees respectively (BJP says 'Release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees but only if Mahira and Fawad's roles are chopped, Step 24).

Another Pakistani artiste who is making his Bollywood debut with industry’s one of the biggest banners, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is Ali Zafar’s younger brother Daniyal Zafar. The project is being helmed by Habib Faisal, whose last outing Daawat-E-Ishq (2014) tanked at the box-office.

As we talk, Daniyal is still rehearsing and preparing for YRF’s venture.

Danyal is making his debut alongside 5 other newcomers. Out of the 5, 2 are foreigners and one is a girl from north-east. Danyal plays the male lead in the movie, which revolves around a band formed by convicts (YRF To Launch Ali Zafar’s Brother Danyal, Sep 6).

So not only Boney Kapoor, even YRF is in a fix.

If MNS succeeds in not letting Pakistani artistes work in Indian films, surely Boney Kapoor and YRF will have to face the wrath.

At the time of going online, there is still no news about the whereabouts of Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar and Mahira Khan. Now let's wait and see what action MNS takes tomorrow.
