At the 65th Filmfare Awards 2020, the Amar Kaushik film Bala earned three nominations for Best Actor, Best Actor In Supporting Role (Female) and Best Dialogue. Ever since the awards ceremony ended, Yami Gautam's fans are calling out the organisers for not even giving her a nomination. On this note, Yami has now penned an open letter expressing her feelings. Celebrities Ayushmann Khurrana, Dia Mirza, Vikrant Massey, Tahira Kashyap, and others reacted to her post and praised for her good.
Yami Gautam shared an open letter expressing her emotions after her performance in the film Bala got the Filmfare snub. The actress shared the post captioning it, “Something I wish to share.” In the post, Yami Gautam explained that she respectfully accepts the perspectives of the esteemed jury and the senior members of the fraternity and went on to express how these experiences make one assured and determined in life. The actress concluded her open letter with, “It doesn’t matter where you come from, who you are, just don’t ever give up and keep waiting ahead. It’s a long journey and I am a hustler for life.” The actress also mentioned how she is a hustler for life no matter how long the journey is.
Reacting to Yami’s long penned letter to her fans and the members of the film fraternity, celebrities Ayushmann Khurrana, Dia Mirza, Vikrant Massey, Tahira Kashyap and others took some time out to comment on the post and react on the brave move of the actress. Extending his support to his co-star, Ayushmann wrote, “So proud YG,” telling her how proud he is of her.
