Yami Gautam’s Wedding Planner Shares Details Of The Intimate Outdoor Wedding; Reveals He Made Preparations On One-Day Notice

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam recently tied the knot with Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar in an intimate wedding ceremony. The couple got married on Friday, June 4. It was an intimate ceremony that saw only ‘immediate family’ in attendance. And, Yami and Aditya informed fans and friends about their marriage through a post on social media. In an interview now, Yami’s wedding planner, Gitesh Sharma shared details of the ceremonies that took place at Yami’s farmhouse in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi. He revealed how he made preparations on a day’s notice.
Speaking with Mid-Day, the wedding planner shared that he was contacted by Yami Gautam’s father just one day before the wedding festivities. He mentioned that the Gautam’s brought their own family priest for the rituals. Gitesh Sharma said, “Yami’s father contacted us a day before their wedding ceremonies [sangeet and mehndi] began. The Gautams brought their own family pandit [priest] from Bilaspur or Hamirpur for the rituals.”
The wedding planner further continued to mention how Yami and Aditya were clear they didn’t want a larger-than-life, glamorous wedding. The couple had a small outdoor wedding. Gitesh shared that Yami and Aditya wanted the ceremonies to be conducted in a natural and traditional way. He said, “Instead, they wanted the ceremonies to be conducted in a natural and traditional way, as it happens in their hometowns. They got married in front of a deodhar tree. The mandap was decorated with marigold flowers and banana leaves, with a gold-and-white theme running across the décor. After the wedding, there was a small reception in the evening with family members. The mehndi was held in the courtyard.
Yami and Aditya Dhar’s wedding was followed by a traditional lunch of Mandi Dham. Since the wedding, the actress has been constantly sharing pictures with fans and followers on social media. She has posted pictures from others wedding ceremonies including Sangeet and Mehendi.
