Ranbir Kapoor, belonging to the renowned Kapoor film dynasty, is the son of the late legendary actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Before establishing himself as an actor, Ranbir ventured into the film industry as an assistant director, displaying a keen interest in the art of filmmaking. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the film business, he developed a strong understanding of the industry. Ranbir's upbringing, surrounded by the legacy of movie production, instilled in him not only a passion for acting but also business acumen. Despite being eager to play the lead role in the movie, Barfi faced a challenge as it lacked producers at that point. Randhir revealed in an interview how the Rockstar actor warned them not to produce the movie, "Yeh subject thoda risky, toh aap log mat produce karo," were his ideal words. Despite Ranbir's initial reluctance, the film later went on to become a critically acclaimed film, hailed for its soulful storytelling and performances. Randhir Kapoor, in hindsight, expressed his admiration for the movie, emphasizing its depth and impact.




Having started his journey as an assistant director in the film Black, Ranbir made his Hindi film debut with Saawariya back in 2007. Over the years, he has been part of several successful films, including Bachna Ae Haseeno, Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Rockstar, Barfi!, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Sanju, and Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva. Following the success of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar last year, he garnered further acclaim with his role in Animal, a film that set new records at the box office.
