The Coronavirus sitution in India is getting worse with each passing day. Apart from people being diagnosed with the COVID-19, many are even losing jobs and are unemployed because of the disaster. Due to this, it is becoming difficult for many to even buy daily ration, pay their kids school fees or even pay the home rent. Now, we came to know that actor Rani Mukerji’s husband and YRF’s producer Aditya Chopra has decided to launch the ‘Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative’. It is an initiative to support daily wage workers of the film industry who are suffering from the Coronavirus crisis.

‘Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative’ will transfer Rs. 5000 to women and senior citizens while they will also give ration kits to the workers (family of 4) for an entire month. A statement was recently released by a trade analyst on Twitter where the details of it are mentioned. “The Yash Chopra Foundation’s Saathi initiative is here to help you in this time of unprecedented crisis. We know how hard the last few months have been for you again. Paying for ration, school fees, medical expenses and home rent - your cost has only piled up and we are here to support you to the best of our abilities,” the statement read. 

As per the statement, the members of the film industry who are currently unemployed and have 1 or more direct dependents are only eligible for this initiative. The statement has the details where one can start to apply and once their details are approved by them, they will be getting the said privileges.
