Andhadhun, Movie Review: The Orgasm Is In The Piano, Not In The Sexual Act
You will not blink until you experience the climax, which will fill you up with ecstasy. Andhadhun is something terrific to be seen only in the dark behind closed doors
Sriram Raghavan, delivers the best film from his stable till date. Andhadhun is a story of 'n' number of twists and turns. It is not all about who's the killer, it is not all about Ayushmann Khurrana's blindness, it is not all about lust. Then what is it about? It is something to be felt, it is something to understand that India has filmmakers who can compete with Hollywood. It is something you will love, what is orgasm without love? A big thank you Sriram, before I move ahead.
So yeah, like always I can't tell you the story. I never do, and Andhadhun is anyway one such that Sriram will kill me if I do. Over to Ayushmann, superb performance- Vicky Donor please move on. Tabu is poetry, does this beautiful lady ever err? Ashwini Kalsekar (surprised to see her third in my list of mention?) is a pataakha (Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha last week did not ignite up with much light and noise). Cop Manav Vij as Tabu's bedmate (no, this is not Rajesh Khanna-Nanda-Sujit Kumar's Ittefaq, don't jump to conclusions) is fine. And here comes the man, whose name should have come up in this piece before Ashwini, sorry Mr Anil Dhawan. Where were you, sir, for so many years? What a cute role, and think of it, had you not appreciated the piano- there would have been no orgasm. Radhika Apte is vivacious and adds more life to the film.

The film does become a bit of hotch-potch in the second half, however we can let that pass. But what continuously stands out in both halves is how Sriram has used several songs of Anil Dhawan, at various situations in the plot. And hey Sriram, was Tabu deliberately named Simi- because she is shown as cold-blooded as Simi Garewal in Karz? Just kidding!
