Judgementall Hai Kya, Movie Review: Judgement On This Kangana Film? Just What The Doctor Ordered For A Thrilling Evening!
Guess the suspense and I shall lose my last penny with you. It's slick, racy and crazy. This Kangana-Rajkummar film deserves a big round of applause
I have stopped reading celebrity tweets for most films. A journalist will never run down any other journalist's story in public domain. A doctor won't run down someone's skill from his fraternity. Similarly, an actor/producer/director won't run down his colleague's labour of love. But I don't know why I read a few tweets on Judgementall Hai Kya this afternoon.
I took them with a pinch of salt and said 'Fine, I shall know by evening'. And, this time I am not sitting on the other side of the fence. Judgementall Hai Kya is an outstanding thriller, which keeps you guessing till the end. I couldn't decide till the end who's better- Kangana or Rajkummar?
This is clearly Kangana Ranaut's best performance till date. Her body language is insanely amazing- the way she walks in several scenes constantly looking behind her shoulder. Her dialogue delivery is flawless- she out-pours just what her character requires. You can make out there's so much of improvisation which she has done beyond what the director demanded.
Watch her walking on the streets of London, constantly looking behind her shoulder. Watch the disbelief on her face when she first spots Raj having married her cousin. Watch her in the physical struggle she has with Raj in his flat in the dark. This woman is loaded with talent, there never were two opinions about that and never will be.
Rajkummar Rao was so intelligent to not give away anything on the film when my colleague had interviewed him. If anybody tries to even discuss this film with you, please push him/her away hard. This man is such a wonderful actor. Give him any role and he literally sinks into it. It's just a matter of time when he will be seen in the league of Irrfan Khan. And gosh! He looks very handsome in this film too, a quality which no other role till date perhaps needed from him.
How can two actors complement each other so well! They almost take alternate turns to look crazy, vulnerable, innocent and menacing in their respective scenes, which in turns keeps you at the edge of your seat.
And just when you think that the second half is getting a tad linear, Kangana and Raj deliver a bolt from the blue that might make you fall off your chair.
